4th day of christmas... strawberry shortcake

remember their names?
back row l to r: mint tulip w/ marshland mallard, raspberry tart w/ rhubarb monkey, orange blossom w/ marmalade butterfly, lime chiffon with parfait parrot, lemon meringue with frappe frog, blueberry muffin w/ cheesecake mouse, angel cake with souffle skunk, cafe ole w/ burrito donkey
front row l to r: apple dumplin w/ tea time turtle, butter cookie and jelly bear, strawberry shortcake w/ custard cat, apricot and hopsalot, cherry cuddler w/ gooseberry goose

can you smell them? it's hard to remember which ones i owned, my friend sharae had every single one! actually, a few of each- they had lots of little girls in their family. i know i had strawberry shortcake and the little marshmallow hat on marshland mallard really stands out.

i cannot explain how desperately i want one of these today. time to start digging on ebay. problem is, i want a brand new one, under the tree for me next week!

p.s. how in the world does cafe ole with burrito donkey fit in? fruit, fruit, fruit, burrito.

who had this little gem?:

Oh Now THAT I remember, and vividly!!!
Don't you remember how obsessed we were with them????

and are you going to post about the Barbies, and how we each had a doll (you had the peaches and cream barbie remember, which btw is for sale this year again)... and we only had ONE Ken doll! Remember our barbies kept getting divorced and breaking up with him so that we could share him...
and remember the shoes we used as cars?

I can definitely smell them. I loved how good they smelled. Unfortunately I took my strawberry shortcake swimming once and her stair stood straight up from then on. My mom still has most of them but they are missing shoes and hats and such. I know we also had lemon meringue and maybe apricot. But I can't remember.

p.s. I think Liz still has all of hers in perfect condition in a giant strawberry . . .

OK, you can feel bad for me now because I never had one ever. Even though my friends did.

I'm going to go cry in the corner now. Boo hoo.

I had the Pie Man and the Huckleberry boy as well. Good times

I was Strawberry Shortcake one year for Halloween, it was my favorite year by far! I had her sleeping bag and I had many of the figurines. I could smell Blueberry over and over again, yum.

Yes, Liz has hoarded all of our childhood toys. Including the Strawberry Shortcake goods. I too am enjoying your 12 days of Christmas. Can't wait to see what's next.

In addition to my strawberry shortcake doll and her friends, I also had a strawberry shortcake sleeping bag. Best part about that....it smelled like strawberries! Awesome. Wish I still had it. I'm sure Trevor would think it was creepy if I slept in it though.
