on the first day of christmas...
recently i wasted a few HOURS on the internet searching for one very old christmas toy. in the process i found lots and lots of memories. i gasped and giggled as i found each memory, so i am sharing them with you. sure, this is primarily for me and kind of for my siblings, but there weren't that many toys back in the 80s so hopefully some of these are memories for you too.
first up... the fisher price hospital!

ok internet, raise your hand if you had one! we did and i clearly remember it. the squishy bed foam, the little light over the operating table and the scale! oh, the scale- it worked! the dial turned when you put the little people on it. and the little nurse in white was in our house for years after the rest had disappeared. and those little kids on the balcony above the elevator, totally remember those!
up next... something even older!
again, having never really participated i am not entirely sure when the 12 days starts and when it ends... so i'm starting it today. ending it on christmas eve.

I did not have that toy, but the sight of little Fisher Price people took me back. I know I'm going to enjoy these 12 days of Christmas!
oh my... okay, you will laugh, but I don't remember the hospital! I remember the barn and the school house tho- remember the chalkboard and little place for the magnets on the school house?
i told jeff that we are keeping our fisher price "little people" stuff forever! I still love it all! and my kids still play with it all the time.
can't wait to see what's on tap for tomorrow- i'm linking you up to my blog btw...
We didn't have the hospital (we had the house, main street, the castle, the barn, and the garage) but my grandma did and we'd play with it when we went to her house. She STILL has it and breaks it out whenever I take my kids over there. LOVE it!
My sister and I didn't get the hospital, but we did have the castle. What fun we had with it!
I've never seen the hospital, but we had plenty of other Fisher Price people stuff to make this nostalgic.
I totally had the hospital. In fact my Mom still has it at her house and my kids play with it when we go out to visit. her. Loved it!
A trip down memory lane! We had that hospital and I loved it. I'm still a sucker for fisher-price little people.
