emily cooks! update

ok. i made Pastor Ryan’s Chicken Tikka Masala from the Pioneer Woman. it didn't turn out as yummy as it looked on her site, but that's because my mouth doesn't appreciate cloves. i took one bite and the cloves in the garam masala numbed my tongue. the first bite was good, but after that it was kind of tasteless.
soooooo, next time i am going to make my own garam masala with no cloves. it's especially disappointing because i forgot i had an unopened bottle of garam masala and i bought another one. when you're a bunch of white guys garam masala is kind of a one time purchase, for most of the rest of your life. so if you don't have a clove issue and you'd like a free bottle of garam masala, just stop by. i have two jars! seriously, i won't use them.
another note, i think my tomatoes weren't as fancy as hers and the whole thing turned out a not awesome color. so splurge on the fancy brand tomatoes. i don't know what the fancy brand is, just don't use western family.
also, her method for cooking the chicken was awesome and made very very good chicken. i must remember that in the future.
also, you can handle the heat she uses. i promise.

yeah emily! way to go! i hope it's okay for me to tell you, you remind me of julia from "julia & julia" keep up the good work! i tried to eat a "mexican" dish at the temple and ended up eating at home. it was really yucky!
